Expert agreement on what good care looks like
Healthcare progress reaches a patient through four stages. WNCDAF works wherever the distance opens up between them.
A medicine may be approved but unavailable. A technology may work but be unaffordable. A guideline may be published but underutilized. We work in the gaps between the stages.
Innovation does not automatically create impact. The gap between what is scientifically possible and what is practically accessible can grow wider rather than narrower. WNCDAF was conceived around that gap.
Identify where disparities exist. Who is not benefiting? What barriers exist? What do patients, clinicians and systems experience?
Move from perception to evidence: access indicators, equity frameworks, country comparisons and patient pathway analyses.
Bring the right stakeholders together to agree credible responses: consensus frameworks, care pathways and policy options.
Support translation into practice through professional education, implementation guidance, partnerships and capacity building.
Identify successful models and help them travel: case studies, toolkits, cross-country learning and regional networks.
Each of our three streams works on the same four strategic pillars, each answering one question. Read across a row to see a stream's four focus areas, or down a column to see how every stream answers the same question.
WNCDAF aims to be recognised for the quality and usefulness of its evidence rather than the volume of its publications.
